NLP & Six Sigma for a Poised Spirit!

Image
In today's scenario, each of us have various perspectives of life and try to manage ourselves in different situations from lessons learnt by experiences, suggestions from kith & kin, rational thought, etc. This article is about having a balanced life by changing our modus vivendi by the application of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) & Six Sigma. I opine - Neuro is the mind’s dynamics; Linguistic is the use of words in language, sounds, symbols, gestures etc and Programming is setting a behaviour based on the various stimuli one gets from the environment. Neuro Linguistic Programming is a programme that could be run in your unconscious mind to bring those consequences that you would want to see. A switch used to tune in your desired states in the mind’s radio and see what you expect in your television of the world. A formula to analyze the behaviour, interpret the languages and generate excellence. NLP is being aware of your behaviours and that of others and thereby cal...

Like father, like daugther.. Love father

(Long Time Ago…) It was already late. I looked at the clock in the hall. It said eleven. My brother, my mother and I were all waiting to see my dad… after nearly six months! My dad was in a transferable job and he rarely visits. My dad used to stay close to my heart only through the trunk calls he used to make when I was in my school. He always claimed that he had electronic media device fitted in my classroom, bathroom and house and hence all my actions will be recorded. I used to believe this until I was in 9th standard! How dumb!! My dad predicts almost everything I did. It was then I realized I’m typically like my dad. I had the skills of humour, leadership, communication, ego and pride, everything I did was a reflection of what my father did in the past. Days passed, I finished School and decided to study in the prestigious College, GCT, Coimbatore. Now it was my turn to stay away from my family. We always had only 3 members in our family, either father or I moved in and out due...

Goodbye i|Nautix - Bank of NewYork Mellon

@ Office: Dt: 2nd Jan, 2009 Hi, First few Days At Office: August 14th..( A day before The Independence Day),the first day when I joined inautix. It was a very calm day and the sun brightly shone overhead. After a formal Welcome note addressed by the senior officials, we were asked to go to Apollo Hospital For Drug Test... After that we were all back to office, filling umpteen number of forms cribbing.. Three seniors who caught my attention were Capt. Venugopal Kannoth (I can never forget and always wish if I were a guy, I must be like him. ), Evangeline Glory (Wondered how can someone look so smart even after marriage! ) and another guy who was really bugged by my very many questions , Sathish who spoke on AML(Anti- Money Laundering).. Training Days: After a few days, I realized that I was put in a batch where we’ll be taught Mainframes. Absolutely no idea as to what Mainframes was!! I was just sitting in the first row of our Training Clas...

CHARITY SANS SYMPATHY

Image
I remember the day when I was only 12 year old and lost my concentration when I was looking at a girl of almost my age climbing downstairs with braces on the legs. When I turned around to join my parents, I found I was left all alone and ran all around Thirupathi in search of my parents. Only after I found them I realized that I had not heard what they told me as I was completely engrossed on the subject, “THE STRUGGLE TO CLIMB DOWNSTAIRS BY A GIRL”. That night I was thinking about the pain the girl would have gone through. I observed her face while she was climbing down. She was not bothered about how she moved or how elegant she walked, she was not bothered about anything except for one thought that she should climb down without falling. That moment I realized that with such a disability when a girl doesn’t want to be treated different, why should we treat them differently? Looking at them with sympathy or pity in our eyes only makes them feel lowly. This is what I felt after many ac...

Biotechnology boom! education doom??

Well,in a country like India,Biotechnology is big hit with new companies comin in and research works bloomin like the random growth of bacteria... But not al the students find it comfortable copin with the education and courses tauht to them in the colleges.. Usually, most of the students select courses based on their interest in the subject or on the job opportunities available in their fields of interest.. so did i! BUT... why do many biotechnologists (like me) take up some other profession- mostly IT rather than biotech??? IS the reason is lack of interest???? Definitely not.. Then are we to blame the college or faculty?? NO NO... there's just one simple reason.. "LACK OF AWARENESS" when i was in my colleg, i was very much occupied with other activities that i never read newspapers or even watch news.. thou many said BIOTECH's gonna boom.. i insisted to stay up in IT.. only reason.. you're paid more.. but that's not the actual case! once we do higher studies...
